Hi there and welcome to my site! I'm Megan, your photographer and I hope you like what you see here! Please feel free to browse my galleries or reach out via my Contact page if you have any questions!

So, if you have made it to my site it means either you're one of my amazing friends or family members who is just looking at my new website or it means you don't know me at all and you're wondering who I am and what I'm all about.

If the latter part of that last paragraph sounds about right, hi! I'm Megan Livingston and it's nice to meet you! I'm a 34 year old mom of two children and I didn't start my journey with photography until almost April of 2019. It hasn't even been a full year yet but it is crazy how fast the time has flown by and how much I've learned in that short amount of time! I actually bought my camera in February but let it sit there unused for two months before I got the guts to put down the iPhone and use the DSLR that I had invested in. I am so glad I did!

I could give you a back story on what I did before I started photography, but the truth of the matter is, I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING HAHA! Like many people, I have been searching and scrambling to find something that worked for me AND something that I loved doing.

I've been a waitress, I've worked fast food, fine dining, I've been an usher at football games or events, I've been a welder, an ironworker, a cashier, the list is literally endless. It seemed impossible. The journey through all of that brought me here, and I finally feel like I'm where I'm supposed to be. Photography is more than just a job. It's a passion for me. Photography isn't just about pictures. It's about a story. The art of creating a stunning visualization of that story for my clients and seeing the happy tears running down their faces is what makes it so therapeutic for me.  I know that sounds cheesy and I didn't get it either at first when other photographers told me the same thing, but it's true. My goal everyday is to help you paint your story with images. As I'm sure you will notice later on in my blogging (or if I ever try to direct you on how to pose verbally), I am not always the greatest with words lol! However, I do know how to say it in my work in a very powerful way. Even just a "simple family session" can say a lot more than what you think it might be able to. All I ask is that you open up to me about what it is you want to say with your images, and I'll do the rest. That's it.

Thank you for following my journey and I can't wait to help you tell your story!

a little about the lady behind the camera:

If you can't find your purpose, figure out your passion. for your passion will lead you right into your purpose.
